Jenka

Hey, im a local skateboarder from heysham and i travel to lancaster every day to skate. a morecambe skatepark would be a reel investment, but i have heared that it will be a replica of lancs park or a kidney bowl, both of which would be quite usless for the skaters of the local area. the best idea for morecambe at a good price would be a mini ramp bowled off at each side. but it is not in the best area for skaters, this is a "towny" area.
the best place i have found is on the very large field near the heysham cricket club.
this is not used for anything major and is, basically, waste of space. One of the main problems skateboarders have is being kicked off skate spots by security guards, police ect. this is because skateboarding is about the street nt parks and miniramps so make as bigger and better skate park as you can but people will still skate the street. to overcome the need to skate the street have a costom built skate spot eg stairs handrails ledges ledges and ledges, and also a miniramp, this will more than just keep the skaters from the street and out of trouble, it will be-if correctly made-a nationaly known skatepark for pros from europe and america to visit. for more information on this style of park visit the long awaited "skate plaza" on www.dcshoeco.com which is going to be the most known and visited skate park in the world once made.

this park, that i wish to be made, should have:

  • a run of 3 or 4 ledges, similar to the lancs park ledge.
  • a 5/6 foot mini ramp (half pipe).
  • and a set of 5, reasonable height.

Mini Ramp 5 set+handrail 4 ledges

im guessing that you will look at this and think that im just a kid that dusnt no what he's talking about but please take my email seriously.

yours sincerly J.J.Jenkinson A.K.A. Jenka
